Bringing you thoughts on feminism, fashion, food, current affairs, and other cultural goodies…
Oh, hi there! I see you’ve found my blog…
If you’re here and you’re snooping around, you might be wondering who’s behind it.
Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Jacqueline (but my ‘inner circle’ calls me Jackie, Jack, Jax, Jack Attack; you name it, I’ve most definitely been called it), and I’m a Canadian-born, globally-raised girl, who ‘specializes’ in culture and communications with a heaping serving of human rights and a burning love of fashion thrown into the mix.
In the past couple of years, I’ve lived in London, where I completed a Masters in International Communications and Development, and New York City, where I assisted with the US launch of the world’s most ‘socially relevant’ fragrance line, and traveled in England, France, Holland, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, and around East, West, and South Africa. Most recently, I was based in Zambia (Southern Africa), and am once again regaining my footing in Canada after traversing the globe!
Throughout my educational and professional careers, I have worked across borders and cultures, through international human rights organizations including Women without Borders and the Violence Against Women Day (V-Day) Campaign, to raise awareness about critical issues that women and girls face globally. I have had my writing featured in BUST and Faze magazines and in various online publications, and I’m a freelance motivational speaker, with a focus on young leadership and networking, who has engaged audiences internationally.
As you can probably sense, I really enjoy traveling and meeting people from all over the world! It is, without question, one of my favourite things to do!
When I’m not hopping planes, trains, or automobiles, I spend my ‘down’ time cooking, running, dancing, yoga-ing, singing, volunteering, writing, keeping up on current events (read: trying to…), and partaking in anything fashion-related.
This is my personal blog. It’s a culmination of my thoughts that relate to my interests. I hope you find some gems here, and, as always, I love hearing from my faithful readers.
Wanna get in touch with me? Here’s how!
